About CRT The Communications Resourcing Team at United Methodist Communications is a group of dedicated individuals who connect United Methodist annual conference and local church communicators with the resources and expertise they need for effective communications ministry. Our work and resources are based on communicators' needs. We provide: - Skills-based training in several areas of church communication
- Consultation on all aspects of communication ministry
- Connection to experts that can work with you for a more dynamic communication ministry, including UMCom staff, colleagues and others
- Communications audits to identify areas of strengths and needs and recommendations to meet those needs
- News for communicators to keep them in touch
- Ideas that work, researched by CRT or shared by others
- Advocacy for communicators to keep communications strong in annual conferences
- Resources and support as needed and requested
CRT is also the home of the online training and scholarships.The Communications Resourcing Team consists of six staff members at United Methodist Communications, one of the denomination's general agencies, and the talents of United Methodist communicators around the globe. CRT staff is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
CRT is one expression of United Methodist Communications' commitment to strengthening the ministry of sharing stories of the church. Whom does the Communications Resourcing Team serve? We serve all congregations and anyone who has a communications role in the church. Our primary partners include: - Bishops
